Ogp smartscope flash 5005/21/2023 ![]() ![]() SmartScope systems are designed as multi sensor systems from the ground up. SmartScope 3D multi sensor systems combine optical, laser and tactile sensors, letting you measure parts more completely, with lower uncertainty and in less time. More than 2,000 of these systems have been installed worldwide with features including a compact, robust design that meets the measurement needs of manufacturers in a broad range of industries and is ideally suited for shopfloor inspection.First introduced in 1992, OGP® SmartScope measurement systems are one of the world’s most popular and versatile dimensional measurement systems for precision measurement challenges. Completing the line-up will be a SmartScope Flash 200. Suitable for measuring general engineering parts, the CNC 500 will feature OGP's Measure X software, which has the functionality to support everyday metrology tasks including the automatic measurement of points, lines, planes, circles, distances, cones and spheres. SmartRing will be featured on all OGP models demonstrated at the show, including the SmartScope CNC 500, a compact, large volume CMM of travel-bridge design with the versatility to measure 3D geometry using a combination of probes, single or dual rotary axes and software applications. The Vantage 300 also features OGP's patented SmartRing surface illumination, a vector light that gives total control of lighting angles, making it easy to pick out important features for repeatable and accurate optical probing. Furthermore, sensors can be switched with the click of a button and data outputs can be customised to meet personal reporting formats or to be used by seamless analysis packages to compute 3D surface profiles, part to CAD comparisons, SPC or reverse engineering routines. The process will be aided by OGP's powerful and easy-to-use MeasureMind 3D software which allows fully automatic measurement routines to be programmed in minutes. All of this will be performed in a single set-up to a generic frame of reference. The system's optical sensor will be used throughout its zoom range to measure 2D geometry, while the touch probe will measure 3D features and the laser probe will collect surface information. At the show, the Vantage 300 will be busy measuring aerospace components. Among the machines featuring TTL at MACH will be the SmartScope Vantage 300, a 4-axis part measurement system that uses a combination of video, touch probe and laser, with the ability to switch reliably between measurement systems during the same set-up. TTL is available for use on all of OGP's Telecentric optical systems within the SmartScope family of dimensional measurement devices. ![]() The sensor can even measure when 60% of the beam is clipped. An additional advantage is that the sensor can measure deeply recessed surfaces and steep contours, such as a complete hemisphere, through apertures as small as 0.25µm. This design brings many benefits including long working distances and the ability to measure both diffuse and specula surfaces to the same accuracy. It features an innovative and patented interferometric range sensor design that works by diagnosing the properties of two or more light waves by studying the pattern of the interference created when overlapped. TTL technology is breaking down conventional barriers to high resolution surface contour measurement. As well as exhibiting a cross-section of its latest non-contact and multi-sensor SmartScope metrology systems at MACH, visitors to OGP will have the opportunity to see the first UK demonstration of its new TeleStar TTL (through the lens) sensor.
